We offer a range of instalment plans, including interest-free options and flexible deposit amounts, making it easier to purchase the jewellery you love.
Paying in Instalments
Finance is available on all jewellery purchases with a minimum order value of £300. Applying is quick, secure, and straightforward. Once your finance agreement is approved, simply pay your deposit and we’ll take care of the rest. Available repayment durations may vary depending on your purchase value and selected finance option.
How to Apply
Once you have added your chosen jewellery to your basket:
1. Proceed to checkout
2. Select the Novuna Finance payment option
3. Complete the online finance application
4. Receive an instant decision in most cases
5. Sign your agreement electronically or by post
6. Pay your deposit (where applicable)
Once approved and completed, your order will be prepared for dispatch.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for finance, you must:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Be a UK resident and have lived in the UK for at least 12 months
- Work a minimum of 16 hours per week, be retired with an income, or be a homemaker with a spouse in full-time employment
- Have a valid UK debit or credit card registered to your home address
- Have a UK bank or building society account capable of accepting Direct Debits
- Have your order delivered to your home address only
Unfortunately, finance is not currently available to residents of the Republic of Ireland.
Applying for Online Finance
Applying online is simple and secure.
When purchasing from The Fine Jewellery Company, you can select finance during checkout and complete the application form online. The process usually takes only a few minutes.
Once your application has been approved, you will receive confirmation and instructions on how to sign your finance agreement electronically or by post.
Please review your agreement carefully before signing.
Orders will be dispatched once the completed agreement has been received and approved by Novuna Personal Finance.
How Quickly Will My Application Be Approved?
Most finance decisions are returned within 60 seconds.
In some cases, your application may be referred for further review by Novuna’s underwriting team, who may request additional information before making a final decision.
What Happens After Approval?
Once approved, you will be able to either:
- Electronically sign your agreement online, or
- Print, sign, and return your agreement by post
If you choose to e-sign, your agreement will be displayed on screen as a PDF document for review before submission.
If you choose to sign by post, your jewellery will be reserved once Novuna receives your completed agreement.
When Do Repayments Start?
Your monthly repayments will usually begin one month after your order has been delivered.
Payments are collected by Direct Debit.
Are There Any Hidden Fees?
No. There are no arrangement fees or hidden charges.
Credit Checks & Credit Scoring
As part of the application process, Novuna Personal Finance will conduct a credit assessment using information such as:
- Your income and employment details
- Credit reference agency information
- Existing financial commitments
- Electoral roll and identity verification data
Credit scoring helps ensure all applications are assessed fairly and consistently.
Applications are never assessed based on sex, race, religion, or disability.
If My Application Is Declined
Applications may be declined for a variety of reasons, including:
- Low credit score
- Adverse credit history
- Existing financial commitments
- Incomplete application information
- Age restrictions
Please note that Novuna cannot provide specific reasons for individual decisions.
You may reapply in the future should your circumstances change.
Credit Reference Agencies
Novuna may obtain information from the following credit reference agencies:
- Experian
- Equifax
- TransUnion
These agencies may hold information such as:
- Electoral roll details
- County Court Judgments
- Bankruptcy information
- Existing credit commitments
- Previous credit searches
If you believe any information held is incorrect, you should contact the relevant agency directly.
Delivery Restrictions
For security and fraud prevention purposes, orders placed using finance can only be delivered to the applicant’s registered home address.
Understanding APR & Interest Rates
The interest rate is the cost of borrowing expressed as a percentage.
The APR (Annual Percentage Rate) provides a broader indication of the total borrowing cost, including applicable fees and charges, allowing you to compare different finance products more easily.
All APR information will be clearly displayed before you complete your agreement.
Who Provides the Finance?
Finance is provided by Novuna Personal Finance, a trading style of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC.
The Fine Jewellery Company acts as a credit broker, not a lender.
All finance agreements are:
- Subject to status
- Available to UK residents aged 18+
- Subject to terms and conditions
- Available on purchases from £300 minimum spend

How Much Can I Borrow?
Finance is available on purchases between £300 and £20,000, subject to status and approval.
Monthly Payments
Monthly repayments are collected via Direct Debit from your UK bank or building society account.
Your first payment is usually taken one month after delivery, followed by monthly instalments until the balance is repaid in full.
What Jewellery Can I Buy on Finance?
Finance is available on selected fine jewellery collections across our website, subject to a minimum order value of £300.
Please note that bespoke, customised, and made-to-order items are not eligible for finance.

Yes. A minimum deposit may be required depending on the finance option selected.

Yes. Payment dates can usually be amended once your finance agreement has been activated and your welcome documents have been received.
Can I Make Additional Payments?
Yes. Additional payments can be made at any time without penalty.
Can I Pay Off My Finance Early?
Absolutely. You may settle your finance agreement early at any time by contacting Novuna Personal Finance directly.
Settlement figures are calculated in accordance with the Consumer Credit Act.
Can I Change My Direct Debit Details?
Yes. Please contact Novuna Personal Finance customer services directly to update your payment details.
